About Dixon Hill Lighthouse
Dixon Hill Lighthouse was built in 1887 on a former plantation at United Estates, San Salvador. It remains one of the world's few manually operated lighthouses and one of three of its type in The Bahamas, with resident keepers tending its light. Its elevated position provides broad views across the island and surrounding sea.
